Matthew Brian Sittloh, 49, of Carmel, departed this life at his home on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Matt was born on July 4, 1972 in Richmond, Indiana to Donald “Jack” and Sharon K. Sittloh. He grew up and attended primary school in the Williamsburg and Fountain City area. He then attended Vincennes University (where he was a pretty good baseball player), and then graduated from Ball State University. He later earned a master’s degree from Full Sail University in Orlando, FL.
Matt was a masterful technician and was involved with audio and visual engineering, sales and management his entire career. He was an incredible resource and expert in his field. From a young age, he loved to disassemble and reassemble electronics. He was also a notorious DJ back in his college days.
Matt was a kind and gentle soul who was happiest making memories with his family and friends. He loved to entertain, was an outstanding cook and backyard griller, a James Bond fan, a regular smiling face at local thrift and antique shops and rarely missed a Cincinnati Reds game.
Matt was a speed walker and chances are, you’ve observed his gait along the sidewalks and paths in Carmel. He was also the founder and president of the Cha Cha Carmel Walking Club. Matt loved his city of Carmel and never met a stranger. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his loving family. His children Will, Sam and Ella Sittloh; mother, Sharon Sittloh; father, Donald “Jack” (Sheila) Sittloh; brother, Greg (Erin) Sittloh; grandmother, Lorene George; ex-wife, Rebecca Lynne Wintz; nieces and nephews, Blake, Brandi and Holden Sittloh and Aiden Chapin-Renner and Logan Chapin; his partner, Rhonda Marsh and her children, Tyler and Lily.
