Mary Ann Cela, 93, of Richmond, passed away on September 27, 2021. She was born April 24, 1928, in Richmond, to T. Leo and Eleanor Moore Tracy; she lived in this area all of her life.

She was a longtime employee of Knollenberg’s Department Store and subsequently worked at Elder Beerman in the Furniture Department in downtown Richmond. Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a cat lover, a great cook, and a wonderful seamstress.

She is survived by her daughter Terry (Steve) Eviston of Huber Heights, Ohio, one son Joe (Penni) Sharp of Indianapolis, four grandchildren Matthew, Kate, Molly, Christopher, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Cela, three brothers, and two sisters.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 2, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Sengole Gnanaraj officiating; burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
