Laura Diane Vickers, age 69, Centerville, passed away at Reid Health on November 4, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. She was born October 26, 1952, to Richard and Edna Thompson; and was a lifelong resident of Centerville.
She worked at Nettle Creek Industries until the closed in 2009. She retired from Keihin Manufacturing in Greenfield to devote her time to her grandchildren; she was a loving and faithful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
Laura was a member of Abington Christian Church.
She leaves behind her husband of 50 years Dean Vickers, three daughters Jane (Chuck) Bryant of Greensburg, Kelly (Matthew) Weatherly of Cincinnati, OH., Casey (Rodney) McCracken of Centerville, eight grandchildren Allison Bryant, Justin Bryant, Logan Eggleston, Bailey Weatherly, Emma Weatherly, Caytlin Weatherly, Jake McCracken, Reagan McCracken, one sister Teresa (Brent) Ferguson, two brothers Doug Thompson, Richard Thompson; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews of whom she loved very much.
Laura is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Marcia Caskey.
Services will be 12:00 PM Monday, November 8, 2021, at Abington Christian Church with Pastor Bud Parrish officiating; burial will be in Abington Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Monday at the church.
