Larry Craig Cox, 70 of Winchester, IN, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Reid Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born on March 3, 1951, in Paris Kentucky.
Larry was a meat cutter at Bunsold’s as well as a mould maker for OMCO before opening Larry Cox’s Winchester Auto Glass which he owned and operated for 32 years. He was a speed skater and a drummer and loved music. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and shuffle board. Above all Larry loved cooking for others, playing cards with his family, going to races and old cars. He had a great sense of humor and was a jokester.
Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pam Cox; three children, Christy Cox, Craig (Jen) Cox, and Angie (Brian) Dale; grandchildren, Blakely Slusher, Baily Cox, McKayla Norris, and Brennon Cox; sister, Debbie (Don) Bennett; brother Jerry (Kathy) Powers; close family friend, Mike Wilhelm; any aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his son, Larry C. Cox II; his parents, Beulah and Benny Powers; his father, Asia Craig Cox; his brothers, Gary “Bimbo” Powers; and grandparents, Everett and Nellie Hubbard.
A Phi Delta Kappa funeral ritual will be at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, September 17, 2021, at the Walker Funeral Home. A memorial service with Rich Alvey officiating will follow.
