John Edward Linderman passed away on September 25, 2021 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. He was 85.

John was born in Richmond, Indiana on January 16, 1936 to Florence A. and Pauline (Kalny) Linderman. He graduated from Greens Fork High School in 1954 and served in the United States Air Force. He worked for Pratt and Whitney building engines for aircraft, and as a mechanic for Trans World Airlines. He attended Purdue University under the G.I. Bill and graduated in 1969 with a degree in Forestry.

After his graduation from Purdue, John worked as a federal soil conservationist with the USDA in several counties across Indiana. He retired in 1994 from the Fayette County Office of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service Indiana. He enjoyed collecting antique automobiles, reading, traveling, and spending time with his family.

In 1965, John married Carmen Marie Horsley in Newport, Kentucky. She survives. Also surviving are his two sons, Mike (Kate) Linderman of Evansville, Indiana; Mark (Jennifer) Linderman of Hagerstown, Indiana; and four grandchildren: Jack and Nolan Linderman of Hagerstown and MaryRachel and Josephine Linderman of Evansville.
