Jennifer B. Lykins Miles Woodward, 75, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on September 1, 2021.

She was Born April 17, 1946 in Cornwall, England to Barbara (Stone) & Vernon Lykins. Jennifer was always very proud of her British heritage and enjoyed tea and scones. Jennifer married Kenneth L. Miles and they were active members of Hillcrest Baptist Church. They adopted Melissa and Eric to complete their family. Kenneth lost his battle with cancer in 1982. Jennifer met the second love of her life, Dr. Mark B. Woodward, DVM and they were married in 1986 and became Nana and Papa to 8 wonderful grandchildren. Jennifer loved creating special holiday memories for her family; her yeast rolls, reading the Nativity Story, Christmas crackers and loved watching her grandchildren open gifts. Jennifer was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Psi Iota Xi Beta Pi Chapter, Helen Hunt Club Western Wayne Heritage and Bible Study Fellowship. She enjoyed making jewelry and painting with her dear friend Patsy Cox.

Jennifer led a life of faith and her favorite verse was Ephesians 5:20 “Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jennifer lived her last few years fighting arthritis and in incredible pain. Herfamily is thankful to know she is now pain free and rejoined with Kenny in Heaven.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Dr. Mark Woodward; her daughter Melissa (Mitch) Beaverson and son Eric (Carrie) Miles; grandchildren Heather (Lukas) Thill, Matthew (Jessica) Beaverson, Amy Beaverson, Andrew Beaverson, Michael Beaverson, Kara Beaverson, Lauren Miles and Josh Miles; a sister Lucy (Dave) Polk and Gary (Mary) Lykins.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Kenny and her parents.

Friends may call at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Zion’s Lutheran Church in Pershing. Friends may gather after 10:30 am at the church. Burial will follow in Zion’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Zion’s Lutheran Church, Toys for Tots or the Western Wayne Food Pantry.
