Fred E. Teel, 93, passed away peacefully, with family by his side, Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at his home near Jacksonburg.
He was born in New Castle on September 29, 1927 to William and LeVeda (Smith) Teel.
Fred, a World War II Naval Veteran, retired from Connersville Jr. High School where he taught Social Studies. He was actively involved with the Masonic Lodge, Connersville Little League and had been a referee for high school football and basketball games. He enjoyed farm life and traveling throughout the United States.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy (Teel) Carlson of Hagerstown; and, 2 grandsons, Mica Nare and Justin Carlton, both born in Colorado.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Leota (Peggy) Teel who passed away January 23, 2021; and, three siblings Nina Neal, Donald Teel and Harley Teel.
In accordance with family wishes, there will be no public service.
He will be forever missed.
