Douglas Eugene Chaney, 74, of Connersville passed away Monday afternoon, April 26, 2021 at Heritage House Rehabilitation, Connersville where he had been a resident for the last twelve years.
One of seven children of George Everett and Virginia Marie Nolan Chaney, Doug was born on November 13, 1946 in Fayette County, Indiana.
Doug was employed in the maintenance department at Design and Manufacturing for 29 years, and most recently at Burger King.
In his leisure time, Doug enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, and Cincinnati Bengals football.
Survivors include three sisters, Anna (Norman) Walker of Brownsville, Indiana, Marilyn (Richard) Ailes of Connersville, and Ellen Weaver of Connersville; two brothers, George (Marilyn Sue) Chaney of Richmond, Indiana and Herman (Beverly) Chaney of Falmouth, Indiana; several nieces and nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Norma Ruth Meyer; two brothers-in-law, Norman Walker and Bill Meyers.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
