David Duane Nicholson, 66, was born March 27th in Richmond, Indiana to Ernestine and Harold Nicholson. David departed this life Thursday, November 11th, at Reid Hospital with his wife by his side.

David was usually a quiet guy around most people but enjoyed making his wife laugh, he will be missed by her for that. David enjoyed flea markets, antique stores, Goodwill, dumpster-diving and just finding stuff. He loved watching movies especially karate movies, Bruce Lee being his favorite. He enjoyed a lot of music, his favorites were Ozzy Osborne, Metallica and Aerosmith. He also loved Curtis Mayfield as a teen and throughout his life. Often, talking about listening to him when he was growing up in the 60’s, David knew every word to every song on Super Fly.

David worked at different factories throughout his life, Kempers, Mid Continent, and Palladium Item and also did side jobs (painting, yardwork). He also collected cans, often all night long.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Regina Nicholson; brother, Mike Nicholson; two nieces Stephanie and Kimberly Nicholson, several great-nieces and nephews, pets Dempsey, Emmett and Eva.

He is preceded in death by his mother Ernestine Nicholson; father, Harold Nicholson; two brothers, Steve Nicholson, Thomas Nicholson and several beloved pets over the years.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
