Cathy J. Smith, age 66, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Golden LivingCenter – Richmond.
Born May 12, 1954, in Richmond, Indiana, to Paul and Marilyn Benjamin Turner, Cathy was a life-long resident of this community. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1972. She enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, and playing cards. Cathy loved her family and Elvis Presley.
Survivors include her sons, Stephen (Liz) Gates of Richmond and Michael (Cyndi) Gates of Michigan; nine grandchildren; sister, Cindy Melton of Richmond; and brother, Sam (Connie) Turner of Richmond.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Smith; parents; and brother, Steve Turner.
A memorial gathering for Cathy J. Smith will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
