Candice Suzanne (Hoffman) Clouse, 42, Lynn, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on October 14, 2021 after a courageous fight with metastatic breast cancer. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her husband of 12 years, Joshua Clouse, her children Jordan (Katlynn) Smith, Levi and Lydia Clouse; her parents Fred (Linda) Hoffman and Deborah (Charlie) Bennett; her siblings Jim (Natalie) Hoffman and Chrissy (Jeff) Berry; her beloved nieces and nephews Erika (Lukas) St. Laurent and Kendra, Makenzi Berry, Logan (Ashlynn Williams) Melton and Zaylee, and Devin (Miah Patterson) Loudy, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Candice was surely welcomed with joy by those who went before her, including her grandparents Bill and Leah Hoffman, Jim and Betty Stump, her Aunt Karen Smith, and Uncle Stu Smith.
Candice (often called Candi by her friends, but always known as Candice by her beloved husband and dad) was born September 29, 1979 in Union City, Indiana. She graduated from Winchester Community High School in 1998 and received her associate’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Ivy Tech in Indianapolis. She was employed as the Personal Lines Manager at Thompson Insurance and Financial Services since 2005.
When speaking of Candice, Josh described her as “bubbly, stubborn, determined, kind.” She was known for her wry sense of humor and mischievous smile. She loved fishing and shooting. Candice lived life to the full, with an inspiring, infectious smile and a warm, welcoming spirit. She was known as a mentor and treasured friend, especially to others going through their own cancer battle.
Candice gave her all to help people through her work and was known for her honesty and integrity. She won numerous awards and was crucial in Thompson Insurance being recognized for excellence in the industry. Her knowledge coupled with her work ethic made an impact on everyone who worked with her.
She attended both Farmland and Lynn Friends churches and found peace and comfort in her relationship with Jesus.
Most of all, Candice was a deeply devoted mother, and she was committed to guiding her children with love and strength and providing the best for them. She was always so proud of their achievements, and she loved them fiercely.
Josh, Jordan, Levi and Lydia would like to extend special gratitude to Fred Hoffman, Chrissy Berry, and Becky Clouse for being such committed, caring, and supportive caregivers throughout Candice’s illness.
In lieu of flowers and gifts memorial contributions may be made at Old National Bank in memory of Candice for the benefit of Levi and Lydia Clouse.
