Bessie Ollis, 69, of Fountain City, passed away July 17, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born April 10, 1952, in Rutland, Ohio to Homer and Nola Schaffer Bradshaw and has lived here in this area for the last 20 years.
She was a homemaker; she loved her family, collecting dolls, and she loved Christmas.
Bessie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by her husband of eight years, Daniel Ollis, five children Barbara (Todd) Gunckle, Richard (Amelia) Dotson, Jamie Dotson, Veronica Ollis, Danny (Nelvie) Ollis Jr., Willadean Short, thirteen grandchildren Tyler, Jacob, Daniel, Adelaide, Eva, Harvy, Polly, Crystal, Jasmin, Brett, Dylan, Ethan, Aya, two great-grandchildren, two sisters Lucy Gilmore, Mary Jones, one brother Art Bradshaw, a special aunt Mary Kaiser, several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Betty Bradshaw, Hilda Mae Mollohan, and one brother Howard Bradshaw.
Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, July 23, 2021, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Elder Steve Homer presiding and Elder Jeffery Baker officiating; burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints Missionary Fund.
