Bernard L. Bryant, 79, of Richmond, passed away on February 23, 2021, at Reid Health after a long illness. He was born April 5, 1941, in St. Charles, Virginia to William and Gladys Rowe Bryant; he lived here for the last 10 years.

Bernard was a self-employed home builder who loved auctions.

He was loved by the Straightline Pike Pentecostal and Laurel Pentecostal Holiness Church families.

He is preceded in death by his three children Mary L. (Jerry) Sizemore of Richmond, Jim (Karen) Bryant of McKee, KY., Chuck (Amy) Bryant of Laurel, seven grandchildren Jennifer (Justin) Houston, Bill (Tiphanie) Sizemore, Rachel Bryant, Amber (Caleb) Robertson, Blake (Rebecca) Bryant, Hannah Bryant, Elijah Bryant, nine great-grandchildren, one sister Flo (Pete) Collins of Laurel, several nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 31 years Sherry who died in 2018, three brothers and sisters.

Services will 12:00 PM Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Caleb Robertson and Chaplain Ed McFarland officiating; burial will be in Laurel North Cemetery in Laurel, Indiana. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
