Barry LeRoy Donley (80) of Hudson, Indiana died October 1, 2021, at home after a brief battle with lung cancer.

Born on May 12, 1941, in Mercer Pennsylvania to Wendell LeRoy Donley and Elizabeth Emily (Grandey). He attended New Wilmington High School, in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. He married Amy Jo Stephenson on February 24, 1990, in Pigeon Forge Tennessee.

Barry served in the Army in the Second Armored Division in 1957 and received orders to serve in Korea in 1958 as part of the 69th Signal Corp until 1960 when he returned to the United States. He was separated in 1960 and honorably discharged in 1964.

He worked at GTE as a line foreman from 1964 to 1992 and was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Union #723. After leaving GTE he worked at FlexFab in Albion, Indiana until he fully retired at age 62.

Barry was a faithful friend and an ornery jokester who enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and horses, hunting and sharing coffee with friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Amy; a daughter Tania (Mike) Maher of San Antonio; Texas, a son Wendell “Keith” (Cindy) Donley of Fontana, California; sisters-in-law, Jill (Brian) Rednour and Beth (Ed) Duncan both of Middletown, Indiana; five grandchildren, Isaac Maher, Austin Maher, Elijah Maher, Morgan Donley and Ryan Donley; numerous beloved nieces and nephews and his faithful K-9 companion Chase.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Elizabeth Donley, his sister Beverly Jean Kerr (Hobart, Indiana) in laws and special friends Charles and Kaye Stephenson and his much-loved dogs Cowboy and Pepper.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to: Culberson Funeral Home in Hagerstown, Indiana.
