Barbara Jean Thompson Mays passed away peacefully at Arbor Trace on August 27, 2021. She was born on October 31, 1932, to Carl and Mary Lipscomb Thompson. She married her first husband Harold Wessel on December 24, 1959.
She is survived by four children Linda Wagers, Becky Drook, Mike Wessel, and Debbie Parker, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Mays, and three sisters Martha Manning, Charlotte Shaffer, and Dorthy Rinehart.
Barbara was a woman of faith, she enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart, and in the last several years Joel Olsteen. She often read her bible and loved being with her family.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home. The burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the family via the guest book at stegallberheideorr.com.
