Amy C. Sloan, age 51, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021. She was born on Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio on September 29, 1969 to Robert and Emma Jane Dorrel Rigg. Amy graduated from Richmond High School and obtained her associates degree in computer information from Ivy Tech. She later earned her cosmetology license from DDIC in Richmond. Amy was a loyal member to the Wolverine customer service department staff for over 10 years. She was a wonderful mom, sister, wife and daughter who was very loving and would do anything for her children and family. Amy was the glue that held everyone together and was the strongest person. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Josh Sloan; children Lauren Penland, Alex Gibson, Hannah Gibson, Eric Gibson and Jazzmen Sloan; siblings Michael (Dana) Rigg, Malia Rigg and Shannon (Scott) Horan; grandchildren Charlotte Rose, Freya LeAnn and Delilah Nova Jade; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, grandparents and nephew Joshua Rigg.
Services for Amy will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday August 18, 2021 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Phil Hodgkin will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday August 18, 2021 at the funeral home.
