Vivian Delores Simpson, 87, of New Castle, passed away at Henry County Community Hospital Tuesday, November 10, 2020 of complications due to COVID 19. Her daughter and son-in-law were by her side.
She was born February 8, 1933 in New Castle, daughter of the late Willie Lee and Bonnie Ethal Loveless.
She was a graduate of New Lisbon High School. After graduation she went to New Castle Business College and then took a secretarial course at Ball State University. She was employed at Perfect Circle as a secretary in sales for 13 years. She owned and operated V-Line gifts and fireworks and had several rental properties in town including Ross Street Apartments. Vivian was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church since 1965. Her unwavering faith and her church family were very important to her. She never wanted to miss a Sunday service. She was a true servant of God and got much happiness out of helping others. She had a gift for quilting and painting. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. Her greatest joy was when she was with her family. Whether that was traveling, making her wonderful dinners, seeing her grandson and his family, laughing with her sister, or just the simple times spent talking and hanging out with her daughter and son-in-law, meant the most to her.
Left to cherish her loving memory is her daughter Teresa (Rick) Clark, grandson Michael (Shanta) Clark, great grandchildren Lillian Nicole Clark and James Allen Clark, sister Imogene Carpenter, sisters-in-law Linda Loveless and Marge Loveless and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Don Loveless, William “Denver” Loveless and Bobby Gene Loveless.
The family would like to thank all of her hospice nurses Mary, Beth and Tina, Mark the chaplain, and Rhonda the social worker, and Crystal for their love, care, compassion, and friendship. They would also like to thank Dr. John Davisson for his care and kindness and making it possible for her family to be with her in her final hours.
Due to the COVID Quarantine of the family, visitation and memorial service will be set at a later date. Memorial contributions can be given to Saint James Episcopal Church in memory of Vivian.
