Stephen P. King, 75, of Connersville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020 following an extended illness. He was born on January 19, 1945, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and is the son of the late Clayton King and Flossie Vivian King.
For four years, he served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Stephen worked as a maintenance supervisor for Roots Blower for more than 25 and retired from Visteon in 2005.
He loved anything that involved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his buddies. He also enjoyed working with his hands building things, doing woodworking projects, and cooking for his friends and family. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his granddaughter, Angel.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Charlie Goodwin) King, of North Vernon, Indiana and Joni (Creig) Monohon, of Columbia, Indiana; a brother, Jack King; a granddaughter, Angel Goodwin, and his friend and former wife, Sheila Wilhite.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tina, and a brother, Ronald King.
Visitation for Stephen will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020, from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville. A memorial service will begin at 1:00pm, at the funeral home with Tim Fagan officiating. Burial with military graveside honors will follow in Dale Cemetery.
