Robert Michael “Mike” Pierce Jr., 46, of New Castle passed away on the evening of Saturday, May 9, 2020 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
He was born on August 21, 1973 in New Castle a son of Robert Michael Pierce Sr. and Debbie (Houser) Masters.
Mike graduated from New Castle High School and furthered his education at Purdue University where he studied many different subjects. He worked in Rushville as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. Mike married the love of his life, Suzy Leveridge, on September 24, 2005. He always supported her in their home remodeling projects and her director position at the Craine House in Indianapolis. Mike enjoyed playing golf and wood working with his dad and brothers. He was also an avid sports fan, especially of the Colts, Mets and anything Purdue.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of almost 15 years, Suzanne Pierce; two children, Rob (wife: Teddi) Milner of New Castle and Whitney (husband: Jarod) Sewell of Germany; one grandchild, Charlie Sewell; mother, Debbie (husband: Gary) Masters of Losantville; two brothers, Bradley Pierce of Kenton, OH and Clinton (fiancé: Cyleigh) Pierce of Losantville; maternal grandmother, Betty Houser; paternal grandmother, Doris Hardgrove; brother-in-law, Bill (wife: Jane) Leveridge of New Castle; sister-in-law, Jane (husband: John) Jenkins of New Castle and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Michael Pierce Sr; paternal grandfather, Robert H. Pierce Jr.; maternal grandfather, Phillip L. Houser; father and mother-in-law, James and Marie Leveridge.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Sproles Family Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Dugger and Pastor Tony Piper officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
Friends may call from 11am – 2pm prior to the service on Saturday. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we must limit the visitation to 25 people at a time.
