Robert “Keith” Carpenter, 63, Cambridge City, passed away at his home on Sunday December 13, 2020. He had been in failing health for the past year. Keith was born in New Castle, Indiana on July 29, 1957. He has lived most of his life in the Cambridge City area and was a 1975 graduate of Lincoln High School where he was active in the Future Farmers of America. Keith enjoyed being outside, farming, hunting and playing the lottery. In his leisure, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Keith had worked as a welder at CONVERTO and G.T.E.. He retired in July from Local Union 103 where he was a machine operator doing road construction. He worked many years mainly for Fox Contractors.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy (Query) Carpenter of Dublin; 3 children, Chris (Bitsie) Carpenter of Centerville, Kyle (Sarah) Carpenter of Connersville and Ashley (Phillip) Alley of Kentucky; 6 grandchildren, Karah, Kendal, Makenzi, Kourtni and Kyrah Carpenter and Sawyer Alley; 1 sister, Pam Carpenter of Milton; 3 nieces, Dawn Phillips, Tracie Ingalls and Dana Ingalls; 2 stepsons, Tony and Brandon Jones.

Keith was preceded in death by his father, Austin L. Carpenter on July 11, 1991.

Following cremation, a Memorial Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday December 17, 2020 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.
