Ralph J. Redelman, 91, of Connersville passed away Tuesday evening, February 18, 2020, at Reid Health, Richmond.
One of six children of Lawrence and Marcella Fry Redelman, Ralph was born in Milhousen, Indiana, on August 3, 1928, and graduated from Napoleon High School with the class of 1946.
On October 27, 1951, Ralph married Dolores “Dee” Redelman and they made Connersville their home at that time. Mrs. Redelman passed away on October 19, 1995.
On June 6, 2009, Ralph married the former Nancy Beneke in Hamilton, Ohio. Mrs. Redelman survives.
Ralph was employed for many years at Ready Tool and Die, retiring in 1988. He had a passion for working the land and purchased his first farm in 1961. He attended First United Methodist Church in Connersville and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Elks, and Connersville Country Club.
In his younger years, Ralph enjoyed golfing, square dancing, and traveling in his RV. In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending winters in Florida, meeting with the Morning Breakfast Club, and helping others.
Besides his wife of ten years, Nancy Redelman, survivors include two sons, Ron Redelman of Milton and Gary (Carla) Redelman of Connersville; two grandsons, Kyle (Megan) Redelman of Kansas and Ryan (Carly) Redelman of Alabama; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Ethan, Eli, with Elle on the way; five step-grandchildren, Sydney, Jayden, Miley, Zoey, and Brent Alcorn; a step-great-grandson, Oaklan Williams; and two sisters, Rozella (Tom) Langlois and Marita Wagner, all of Indianapolis.
Besides his first wife, Dolores Redelman, Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons, Robbie and Billy Redelman; a step-son, John Daniel Alcorn; two brothers, Paul and Carl Redelman; and a sister, Betty Jane Boing.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2020, at First United Methodist Church, 729 N Central Avenue, Connersville, Indiana. Reverend Frank Oakman and Fuzzy Lake will officiate. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2020, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church.
