Paula Jean King, 64, formerly of Connersville, passed away Sunday evening, October 11, 2020 at her residence in Indianapolis, where she had resided since 2007.

She was born October 12, 1956 in Connersville, one of two children of Paul and Rosemary (Cole) Martin. She graduated from Connersville High School in 1975. Following graduation, she attended Tennessee Temple University. She also attended Indiana University East, where she attained a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1999. She also earned an associate degree in computer programming from Ivy Tech.

Paula worked as a case manager for Manage Health Services of Indianapolis, a nurse at Richmond State Hospital, and a graphic designer for Cinram of Richmond.

In her leisure, she enjoyed jewelry beading and making stained glass items.

Survivors include her daughter, Anita Joy King of Connersville; four grandchildren, Douglas McCollum, Brianna McCollum, Allison McCollum, and Elektra Watkins; her mother, Rosemary Bentley; a sister, Cindy Martin of Connersville; brothers, Mike Bentley of Richmond and Gary (Misti) Bentley of Connersville; and a son-in-law, Scott Watkins. She is also blessed with a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Carol King-Watkins, who passed away September 27, 2020; her father, Paul Martin, who passed away in 1979; a brother, Douglas Bentley, who passed away in 1990; her paternal grandparents, Willard and Thelma Martin, and her maternal grandparents, Freddy and Sweetie Cole.
