Luther James Jackson, 52, passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2020 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on December 6, 1967 to Roy and Margaret Smith Jackson in Richmond, Indiana. Luther valued respect, putting his family first, hard work, helping loved ones, and generosity of spirit to others. He spent most of his time working on his rental properties, playing with his dogs, vacationing with his family and working on his muscle cars to enter in car shows during the summertime. Luther was a member of the Kustom Kruizers Car Club and a graduate from Richmond High School, Class of ‘87. Some of his occupations included: Insurance Agent for American General, Operations Manager for AVI Food Systems, and Supervisor for Treat America.

He is survived by his wife Michelle Murray Jackson, daughter Taylor (Chris Sanchez) Jackson, son Cody Murray, in-laws Robert and Betty Murray, brother Roy (Pam) Jackson, sisters Diane Jackson, Sheryl (Bill) Merritt and Love (Ed) Hendrickson, aunt Joan Corman, many nieces, nephews, and cousins and two Boston Terriers; Max and Diesel.

He is preceded in death by his father Roy Jackson, mother Margaret Jackson-Uhl, half-brother Leroy Jackson, both maternal and paternal grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and beloved pet Rocky.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday July 24, 2020 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
