John Howard Tate, age 63, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at his home.
Born July 15, 1956, in Richmond, Indiana, to Rev. Howard and Mary L. Ayers Tate, John was a life-long resident of Richmond. He worked at the former Hoffco/Comet Industries for 37 years. John enjoyed playing his guitars, fishing, working on muscle cars, and drinking ice cold Pepsi.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Cora Tate; son, Jerry (Chrissy) Tate of Richmond; grandchildren, Shelby, Lacey, and Jerrid Tate; and siblings, Linda (Keith) Coning, Dan (Gayle) Tate, and Allen (Bev) Tate, all of Richmond.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no services for John Howard Tate. Arrangements are being handled by Doan and Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
