Georgia C. Osborn, 91, a life-long resident of Connersville, went home to be with the Lord peacefully Monday evening, July 6, 2020, at Heritage House of Connersville where she had been a resident for the past year.

She was born July 4, 1929, one of six children of George A. and Katheren I. (Breitenbach) Chomel and was a 1947 graduate of Alquina High School.

On December 23, 1948, she was married to her high school sweetheart in Connersville, Wilbur “Bud” M. Osborn, Jr. They farmed together for many years in Fayette County. Mr. Osborn passed away in 2008.

Besides helping on the farm, Georgia had been employed at Union Savings and Loan Association, Woolworths, J. C. Penney, and Meijer of Richmond.

Along with her family, she had been a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and had attended later at the Trinity Praise and Worship Center.

With her husband, she enjoyed camping, square dancing, and helping on the farm. She also enjoyed wood crafts and painting.

Survivors include four children, Timothy Lee Osborn, Terrell Osborn, Tisha (James) Harvey, and Tracy Miller; eleven grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Ronald “Bill” (Becky) Chomel of Connersville, Sue (Clyde) Scott of Fort Myers, Florida, Kathy (Gary) Klopp of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and John (Melody) Chomel of Round Rock, Texas. She is also blessed with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and an infant sibling.

A private service for the family will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2020, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. The family is also invited to a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Springersville Cemetery.
