Frederick Earl Crane, 71, of New Castle passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 peacefully at his home with his wife and dog Gabby by his side. He was born July 24, 1949 in Utica, New York, a son of the late Robert and Ethel (Johnson) Crane.

He was originally from Morrisville, New York and moved to New Castle in 1984. Fred retired from Commercial Vinyl Wallcoverings where he was employed for 20 years and plant manager for 9 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, loved woodworking and being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 40 years, Elizabeth Crane; son, Paul (Sarah)Crane of Kansas City, MO; two grandchildren, Matthew & Samantha Crane; three sisters, Helen (John) Crane of Ontario, NY, Carol (Steve) Cross of Palmer, AK and Ruth (Paul) Capotosto of Berwick, PA; one brother, David (Tami) Crane of Chenango Forks, NY; sister-in-law, Kay Crane of Walton, NY; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, James Crane.

Due to COVID-19, services will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
