Donald E. Wyatt Sr. 85 of Richmond, died Sunday, December 13, 2020, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born June 1, 1935, in Richmond to Iredell and Reca Cope Wyatt and lived here all his life. He retired from Dana Corporation where he worked as a Machinist. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of the West Eaton Pike Pentecostal Tabernacle Church, serving as a Deacon.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Freda, three sons Gene (Carla) Wyatt, Ronny (Denise) Wyatt, and Jeff (Deborah) Wyatt, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, four brothers IC “Junior” (Joyce) Wyatt Jr., Walter (Donna) Wyatt, David Wyatt, and Jimmy Wyatt, two sisters Irene Johnson and Shirley Campbell, nieces, and nephews.
Donald is preceded in death by two Brothers Rev. W.H. Wyatt and Alva Wyatt, and three sisters Evelyn Wyatt, Charlotte, and Linda Wyatt.
Private funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 18, 2020, at the West Eaton Pike Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Charles Barnett officiating. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Services will be live-streamed through the funeral home Facebook page beginning at 1:00 P.M. In accordance with Covid-19 restrictions, friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday at the church.
