Cecil Harmon, 94, of New Castle, IN. Went to be with Jesus from his daughter’s home surrounded by his family on Monday, April 27, 2020. Cecil was born December 15, 1925 in New Castle to the late Elmer and Cloda B. Harmon. He was a 1944 graduate of New Castle High School and New Castle Business College and Muncie Purdue Extension Trade School in Engineering. Cecil retired from Perfect Circle Dana in Hagerstown in 1987.
Cecil served in the European theater in WWII with the 5th Armored Division and was the recipient of two bronze stars. He was a member of VFW post 1282.
He is survived by his daughter, Cecilia Harmon Floyd; 4 step sons, Edwin and Johnny Clayborn ,Joey Reamer and Jimmy Counceller; grandchildren Crystal, Joanna, Joseph, Tiffanie, Kylie, Hannah and Shayla; great grandson Kullen; brother Omrie.
Preceded in death by his wife Elsie Counceller Harmon; son Donald (Donnie) G. Harmon; brothers Arlen, Athel,Clyde and Gene Harmon; sister Irene Crone and both parents.
Services will be Friday May 1, 2020 at 2pm with visitation from 12-2pm at Macer-Hall-Marcum & Moffitt, Broad St. Chapel, 2011 Broad St. New Castle, IN.
