Beverly J. (Fairchild) Davidson, 73, of New Castle gained her heavenly wings, surrounded by her loving family early Wednesday morning, July 15, 2020. She was born March 13, 1947 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late Robert Thurman and Marilyn Jo (Clements) Rigney.

She had been employed at Kenny Eaton’s bakery, the Henry County Trustees Office, Webb’s Nursery and did house cleaning. She was instrumental in starting the New Castle Girls Softball League where she coached and played softball. Beverly was involved in 4-H dog obedience and was a troop leader for Brownies & Girl Scouts. She was a room mother and active in PTA at Sunnyside Elementary School. She enjoyed being outside, horseback riding, collecting angels and her dog, Piper. She especially loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Survivors include three daughters, Tracy (Allen) Johnson, Angie (Ricky) Davis and Bobbie York, all of New Castle; five grandchildren, Josh (Sierra) Johnson, Jeremiah Davis, Skylar (Michael) Hopper, Jordan (Andy) Catron and Chanlar (Jack) Seymour; nine great grandchildren, Jacob & Jaiden Johnson, Anighus, Andrew, Acton & Ainsleigh Hopper, Caroline Davis, Addison Catron and Jett Seymour; two brothers, Robert Thurman of Corpus Christi, Texas and Larry Thurman of Anderson; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Jackson and a brother, Michael Thurman.

The family would express their gratitude to Dr. Parker, RN Julie Archey and the staff of Southern Care Hospice for the exceptional care Beverly received.

Services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Rick Davis officiating.
