April Denise Dutrow, 53, of New Castle passed away on the morning of August 19, 2020 in New Castle, Indiana.
She was born on December 19, 1966 in New Castle, a daughter of James E. Gregory and Norma (Witham) Smith Marlow.
April grew up in New Castle and attended New Castle Schools. In her early years, she enjoyed sewing and more recently flower gardening and teaching her pet birds to speak. April had a big heart and a loving spirit. She loved her family and spending time with them.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Caleb Dutrow, Skyler Shipley and Kelsie Stearns; grandchildren, Tylee Dutrow and Vera Shipley; mother, Norma (husband: Eldred) Marlow; siblings, Josh (wife: Kaite) Smith, Jack Smith, Jane Gregory and Joseph Gregory and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Smith and sister, Dawn Pentacost.
Friends may call from 12 – 2 pm prior to the service on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Sproles Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Perry officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
