William Tyler “Ty” Carr, 17, of Richmond passed away surrounded by family December 29, 2018, due to complications with diabetes.
He was born in Richmond on October 23, 2001, to Dale and Laurie Burge Carr. Ty was a sports kid, he loved every sport especially basketball and his Indiana Pacers. He was a fun-loving and caring individual who loved his family. Ty was an organ donor through which his legacy lives on by helping many other individuals. He attended Fountain City Wesleyan Church and FUSE youth group.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents Dale and Laurie Carr; brother Joey (Liz) Carr; sister Sara Carr; nephew Zander Carr; uncles Steve (Kim) Burge and Brian (Lynn) Carr and many cousins. Ty is preceded in death by his grandparents Leroy and Mary Kay Burge and Paul and Patricia Carr.
Services for Ty will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Fountain City Wesleyan Church (5600 U.S. 27 N., Richmond). Pastor Jacob Gibson will officiate. Family and friends may call on Saturday January 5, 2019, from 9:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ty’s name to American Diabetes Association (2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900 Arlington, VA 22202).
