RICHMOND, Ind. – Timothy R. Smith, age 62, of Richmond, Indiana, died Monday, January 14, 2019, at Reid Health.
Born August 4, 1956, in Richmond, Indiana, to Roger Boyd and Ellen Kay King Smith, Timothy was a lifelong resident of Wayne and Union County. He was a 1975 graduate of Union County High School. Timothy retired from Dana Corporation after more than 25 years of service. He enjoyed NASCAR.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Michelle Powers of Greensburg, Indiana; son, Bryan Scott Smith of Lima, Ohio; sister, Teresa R. (Floyd) Klawitter of Lawrenceville, Georgia; brother, David A. (Jennifer) Smith of Salina, Kansas; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Nicole Smith; daughter-in-law, Cindy Smith; son-in-law, Andy Powers; parents; and brothers, Ronald L. and James R. Smith.
There will be no public services for Timothy R. Smith. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
