Stanley M. Price, 80, a former resident of Losantville, IN, died January 7, 2019 at his home in Anderson, IN.
Stanley was born in Danville, KY to Everett and Mollie Price and moved to the Modoc area at the age of 5. He was a 1956 graduate of Union High School and a graduate of Ball State University. Mr. Price worked at the GM Chevrolet plant in Muncie for 44 years and retired in 2005.
Stanley had many interests. He loved and studied Classical Art, which motivated him to explore collections of many museums across the country. He also enjoyed the works of Frank Lloyd Wright and visited many of his architectural sites. Stan pursued physical activities such as running, swimming, mountain climbing and biking—interests that he passed on to his children and grandchildren. Most of all, Stanley was an avid reader. You would be hard pressed to see him without a book in hand or nearby. He had a never-ending love of dogs and was master to many. His latest canine companion, Ike, an Italian Greyhound, was by his side throughout his transition from life to eternal life.
Survivors include four sons, Kirk Price (wife: Mary Anne), Seth Price (Anna), Whitney Price (wife: Ariadne), and Jared Price (wife: Briana); 10 grandchildren: Jacob, Zachary, Andee Lynn, Noah, Rachel, Ailis, Harper, Abigail, Henry and Jude Price and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Howard, Carl, Cecil, Kenneth and Bill Price and 2 sisters: Anna Noel (Lloyd) and Mildred Beard.
Calling will be 11-1 pm on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Losantville Separate Baptist Church, 55 Wiggins Street, Losantville, IN followed by Services with Pastor Paul Strozier officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
