Rosemary V. Ramsey, age 84, of Centerville died Thursday (February 7, 2019) at Reid Health.

She was born May 20, 1934, in Liberty, Indiana to Frank B. and Lena M. Schuman Smith. She moved to Wayne County and attended Saint Andrew Catholic School and graduated Richmond High School in 1952. She moved with her husband in 1959 to Centerville.

Rosemary was an “old fashioned” homemaker where she loved tending to her family and home. She enjoyed watching and caring for hummingbirds. She was a member of Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church and American Legion Post 65 Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband Dudley Ramsey whom she married 59 years ago on November 21, 1959; children Robert (Michelle) Ramsey, Diane (John) Williams, David (Kelly) Ramsey; grandchildren Brandon Ramsey, Audrey Wilson and Angela (William) Lightcap; brothers John (Norma) Smith and Charles (Ann) Smith; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, siblings Thomas Smith, Joseph Smith, Anna Campbell, Mary Margaret Drook, Hilda Denny, Florence Tieman, Agnes Hough and Ellen Shaw are also deceased.

Liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday (February 12, 2019) at Holy Family Church (815 W Main St Richmond, Indiana). Father John Luerman will officiate. Family and friends may call from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday (February 12, 2019) at the church. Burial will immediately follow at Greens Fork South Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Rosemary’s name to Seton Catholic Schools (240 South 6th St Richmond, Indiana) or to Wayne County Foundation (33 South 7th St Richmond, Indiana).
