DUBLIN, Ind. – Virginia B. “Jenny” Dickenson, age 89, of Dublin, Indiana, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at Golden Living Center – Richmond.
Born February 19, 1929, in Wise County, Virginia, to William and Bertha Jane Poff Chandler, Jenny lived most of her life in Centerville. She retired from Pinehurst Nursing Home in 1991 as a nurse’s aide and worked at Dille-McGuire/Huffman for many years. Jenny attended Trinity Praise & Worship Center in Connersville, Indiana. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Patsy Hall of Dublin, Indiana, Bruce Dickenson of Pershing, Indiana, and Loretta (James) Harrison of Richmond; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Faye of Charleston, South Carolina; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank B. Dickenson, who died May 18, 1999; daughter, Anna Ammerman; son, William Dickenson; son-in-law, Robert Hall; siblings, Dolly, Frankie, Sammy, Georgia, Ina Ruth, Betty Jo, and Kate.
Graveside service for Virginia B. “Jenny” Dickenson will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Abington Cemetery, 4790 Pottershop Road, Centerville. Arrangements are being handled by Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville.
