CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Kevin G. Lake, age 54, of Centerville, Indiana, died Saturday, January 27, 2018, at IU Health Methodist Hospital.
Born August 7, 1963, in Danbury, Connecticut, to Charles and Edna Curran Lake Sr., Kevin moved to this community in 2000. He was a 1981 graduate of Danbury High School, where he was involved in the ROTC program. Kevin formerly worked as a truck driver, mechanic, and pool installer. He was an avid New York Mets fan and passionate about his family and dogs.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Christy Parrett Lake; daughter, Denise Dalman Nye of Schenectady, New York; son, Kevin Dalman of Cairo, New York; grandchildren, Gabe, Elizabeth, Edward, Lucien, and Daelyn; mother; sister, Robin Lake of Danbury; brothers, Gary and Douglas Lake, both of Danbury and Charles Lake Jr. of Cairo; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Danielle Parrett of Richmond; aunt, Doris Parrett; sisters-in-law, Sandi Rains and Traci Anglin; brother-in-law, Randy Parrett; other extended family members; special friends, Rudy McCarley, Joe Velez, Tea McCarley, and second mom, Momma McCarley; and beloved fur babies, Miley, Lilly, Butch, and Edna.
He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Charlene A. Lake; brother-in-law, Keith Rains; and uncles, Alfred and Lloyd Parrett.
Visitation for Kevin G. Lake will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Deacon Frank Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Bryan Cemetery in Centerville.
