Kenneth P. Grubbs, 81 of Richmond passed away Wednesday October 17, 2018 at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond on September 2, 1937 to Perry and Helen Crouch Grubbs. He graduated from Williamsburg High School and served honorably in the US Air Force. Kenneth enjoyed a long career in car sales in Richmond, Eaton, Ohio and Florida. He never met a stranger. He was the top salesman at Alex Karras Lincoln Mercury in Florida before his retirement. He loved living in Florida and frequently talked about moving back. He enjoyed to travel and had a love for his Mountaineer. He liked watching NASCAR, Wheel of Fortune, the Price is Right and Family Feud. Kenneth was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 312 in Florida.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Marlene Grubbs; children Debbie Berry of Richmond, Theresa Grubbs of Boonville, Missouri, Cheryl Somers of Dunkirk, IN, Bobby (Kim) Grubbs of Hobe Sound, FL, Helen (Jeff) Gibson of Centerville, Kim (Joe) Cox of Richmond and Melissa (Bryan) Cumpston of Bradenton, FL; brother Murland Grubbs of Palmetto, FL; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; special niece Cindy Smith and several other nieces and nephews. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents Perry and Helen Grubbs; son Kenneth Grubbs; brother Ronnie Grubbs; sister Joyce Baumgarner and nephew Ronnie Grubbs Jr.
Services for Kenneth will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday October 23, 2018 at Oak Park Pentecostals. Pastor Kevin Arthur will officiate. Burial will follow in Earlham Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth’s name to Reid Hospice.
