Juanita D. Jennings, age 94, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Golden Living Center – Richmond.
Born May 18, 1924, in Centerville, Indiana, to Harry and Gladys Smith Nicholson, Juanita was a life-long resident of Wayne County. She was a 1942 graduate of Williamsburg High School. Juanita retired from Wayne Works, after 33 years of service. She was a member of Boots & Slippers Square Dance Club. Juanita enjoyed traveling, square dancing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon E. (Bobby) Larkin of Richmond; grandchildren, Angela (Chris) Rodenburg of Denver, Colorado, Dawn (Jerry) Jones of Lynn, Indiana, and Bobby Larkin of Fountain City, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Matthew Jones of Lynn, Caleb (Mary) Jones of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Evan and Chase Rodenburg, both of Denver; three great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John E. Jennings, who died February 16, 2007; parents; and sisters, Alice Barker and Opal Gorman.
Visitation for Juanita D. Jennings will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor David Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
