Harry L. Conyers, 78, of Cambridge City, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at home with his family. He was born on September 9, 1939 in Modoc, IN to Charles H. and M. Marguerite (Seagrave) Conyers. He grew up in Modoc and Losantville and lived most of his life in this area.
Harry was a member of New Lisbon Christian Church. He was a truck driver for over 50 years, he worked for Eavey’s, where he met the love of his life, Sue (Moore) Conyers, Kemper where he worked with his brothers, Robert and Louis and then he enjoyed his time working on the farm with Mark Goggin. Harry most loved his time spent with his family, especially his grand and great-grandkids, camping, fishing and enjoying the outdoors.
Harry is survived by his sons, Chris and Greg; four grandchildren, Amanda, Tiffany, Courtney and Cody; three great-grandchildren, Brady, Levi and Macee; a brother, Robert; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Phellis Sue Moore Conyers on January 10, 2015 and a brother, Louis Conyers.
Friends may gather on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City from 10:30 am until start of services at 11:00 am with Jonathan Willmore officiating. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin, IN.
