Gloria Woolwine, age 89, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Ambassador Healthcare.
Born July 2, 1928, in Lick Fort, West Virginia, to Boyde and Mary Bibb Canterbury, Gloria lived in Richmond most of her life. She was a cafeteria worker for Centerville-Abington Schools. Gloria was a member of First Church of God in Richmond. She enjoyed singing at church, cooking, camping, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Foust of Richmond; son, Neal Woolwine of Centerville, Indiana; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Cook of West Virginia; brother, Bill Canterbury of West Virginia; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Clyde N. Woolwine, who died September 23, 2008; daughter, Connie Cadd; great-grandson, Austin Leavitt; parents; sister, Marsha Higginbothen; and brothers, J.R., A.B., and Larry Canterbury.
Visitation for Gloria Woolwine will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018, at Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Paul R. Register officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
