Frankie Blevins, age 75, of Hagerstown, Indiana, died Friday, December 29, 2017, at her son’s home surrounded by her family.
Born December 29, 1942, in Jonesboro, Tennessee, to Joe and Kate Roberts Ratliff, Frankie had lived in Wayne County most of her life. She had worked at Vaile Elementary and Sears and retired in 2015 from AWS, formerly Achieva, after more than 15 years of service. Frankie was a member of Faith United Baptist Church in Hagerstown. She loved flowers, birds, gospel music, and attending church activities.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Charles Blevins; sons, Chuck (Titina) Blevins of Hagerstown and Clayton (Stephanie) Blevins of Economy, Indiana; grandchildren, Garrett, Blake, Chase, Madeline, and Ethan; sisters, Betty Jo (Jim) Miller, Maebell (Roger) Stewart, Dora (Ballard) Bailey, and Rita (Olen) Gentry, all of Jonesboro, Tennessee; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gwenda Blevins and parents.
Visitation for Frankie Blevins will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Denney and Rev. Ryan Goodson officiating. Burial will be in Abington Cemetery.
