Milton – Frances K. Tackett, 78, passed away Tuesday evening March 27, 2018 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana.
A life-long resident of Milton, Frances was born there on August 8, 1939 to the late Howard Sr. and Gladys (Cordray) May. She attended Milton School.
Frances and her husband Harold were married at the Milton Methodist Church on March 2, 1962. Before her retirement, she worked as a beautician and at Pinehurst Nursing Home in Centerville as head cook and assistant activities director.
Frances was a loving mother and grandmother and in her leisure, enjoyed cooking, sewing, and singing. She was a member and active volunteer at the Calvary Baptist Church in Connersville and the Golay Senior Center.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Tackett on August 18, 2013; 2 brothers, Howard Jr. and Richard May; 2 infant siblings, Billy Gene and Lois Ann May.
Survivors include her 5 children, Dianna Tackett and Dana (Mike) Musick both of Kentucky, Russ (Kim) Tackett of Wisconsin, Sorrell Tackett of Rushville, and Kaela (Rick) Keasling of Cambridge City; 13 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Peggy Smith of Westfield.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday March 31, 2018 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. Kim McHale will officiate. Entombment will follow at Earlham Mausoleum in Richmond. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Friday March 30, 2018.
