Brantley Leon Taber, 5 years old, passed away Sunday afternoon June 17, 2018 at his home in Spiceland with his loving family at his side.
Brantley was born in New Castle, Indiana on June 28, 2012. Brantley went to kindergarten at Tri Elementary. He enjoyed spending time in his backyard, playing with his friends and family, having fun and laughing. He was a baseball fan and had been sworn in as an honorary deputy for the Henry County Sheriff Department. Brantley loved super heroes, especially Iron Man.
Survivors include his mom and dad, Kira and Bobby Rayburn; 4 siblings, Chance and Lance Morgan, Charlotte and Eleanor Rayburn; maternal grandparents, Mark and Lori (Bohnenkemp) Anderson and Jesse Carlin all of Knightstown; paternal grandparents, Carolyn (Moistner) Rayburn of Dublin, Susan Raines (Matt Schaekel) Taber-Clements of Hagerstown and Randy (Meghan) Taber of Ohio; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brantley was preceded in death by his biological father, Shane Taber and paternal grandfather, Gordon Rayburn.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of funeral services at 6 p.m. on Thursday June 21, 2018 at Tri Elementary School Gymnasium (enter through south elementary gym door #10). Pastor Paul Kirk Sr. of Memorial Wesleyan Church, New Castle will officiate. Burial will follow at the Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland.
