Alma N. Showalter, 91, of Richmond went home to be with her heavenly Father and the rest of her family Dec. 4, 2018.
She was born Dec. 23, 1926, in Richmond to Elmer and Faye Lephart Johnson and lived here all of her life.
She was a member of the First Christian Church. She worked for the Richmond Business Credit Bureau.
Alma was an avid bowler and loved to play golf until she was unable to do so due to macular degeneration.
She was loved and will be missed by her family: two sons, Gerald Showalter of Jeffersonville and Ronald A. Showalter Jr. of Richmond; one daughter, Linda Herrman of Richmond; six grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren, one step-great-granddaughter; five great-great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Young Jr. of Centerville; one sister, Marjorie Huffman of Richmond; four nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronald A. Showalter Sr., who passed away in 1998; two sisters, Gloria Hennessy and Peggy Hengstler-Hensley; and three sisters-in-law.
