Troy B. Holliday, 85, of Inverness, FL and formerly of Cambridge City, IN passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.

He was born on November 11, 1931 in Stone County, AR to Theodore Roosevelt and Ethel Amy (Southard) Holliday. Troy grew up in Mt. Olive, AR and moved to Milan, IN in 1944.

Beginning August 22, 1952, Troy served in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He was proud to serve his country and was Honorably Discharged on May 21, 1954.

Troy lived in Cambridge City from 1959 until 1977. He was the owner/operator of Holliday Bros Texaco in Milton with his brother, Lee Roy. Troy retired to Inverness, FL from Brownsville, IN.

He was a Baptist by faith and a lifetime member of Milton Lodge #108 F & AM. He was an accomplished guitar player and played in different bands in both Indiana and Florida.

He is survived by son, Dan (Julie) Holliday; daughter, Dianne Holliday; four grandchildren, Justin Holliday, Jonathan Holliday, Wayne Todd and Joshua Detwiler; a great-granddaughter, Alaina Todd and a great-grandson, Troy Todd; brother, Raymond (Judy) Holliday; sister, Lorine (Tom) Day; sister-in-law, Mildred Holliday; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Margie Morris, sister-in-law, Irene Martin; numerous nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Lorena (Martin) Holliday; brother, Lee Roy Holliday; sister, Pauline (Harlan) Watts and grandson, Jason Holliday.

Friends called from 2:00 until 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 8, 2017 and from 10:00 am until the start of services at 11:00 am on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Pastor Ralph Morris officiated.

Milton Lodge #108 F & AM held a Masonic service on Sunday.

Burial was at Westside Cemetery in Milton with Military Honors by the Bertsch #169 & Tout #338 American Legion Posts.
