Ralph Arlen Griffey, 73, of Losantville, IN passed away Thursday evening, December 7, 2017 at his residence, with loving family by his side. He was born January 18, 1944 in Muncie, IN the son of Leamon and Ruby (Brown) Slavin. He was a 1962 graduate of Center High School, Selma, IN.
Ralph worked as a truck driver for 37 years, driving as an owner operator and later for Jason Chamberland and Lee Thornburg Trucking. He enjoyed spending his leisure time around fast cars, fishing, working in the yard and listening to rock-n- roll music.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 54 years, Bonnie; three sons, Dean Griffey (Ann) of McMinville, TN, Glenn Griffey (Cristee) and Tom Griffey, all of Modoc, IN; a daughter, Tina Phelps (Gerald) of New Castle, IN; a brother, Ike Griffey (Eleanor) of Georgia; two sisters, Marian Dovovan of Yorktown, IN and Penny Cunningham (Jack) of New Castle, IN; seven grandchildren, Bridgett, Ethan, Taylor, Jack, Hannah, Hali and Grant; five great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Conley.
