Dale Allen Lamberson, 81, of Mars Hill, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017.
Born in Cambridge City, Indiana, to Fred and Bertha Lamberson. Dale was predeceased by his parents and his older brother Arvin.
Dale is survived by his wife Carolyn of 53 years, his son Allen and daughter-in- law Dinah. Dale was “Grandaddy” to Allen and Dinah’s 8 children, Jacob, Mackenzie, Jack, Zackary, Susannah, James, Emylou and Rosabelle.
Dale’s alma mater was Purdue University, where he earned a degree in agronomy to carry on a multi-generational legacy of overseeing a family farm in Indiana. He was a banker for most of his professional life in the Asheville, NC area.
A highlight of Dale’s life was living on Allen and Dinah’s farm in Minnesota for 8 years. He enriched his grandchildren’s lives by passing on years of wisdom about horses, livestock and growing a variety of crops. He particularly enjoyed barn improvement projects and fixing tractors and other equipment.
Dale was an active member of Mars Hill Baptist Church for 52 years. His family honored his life at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Mars Hill Baptist Church. The burial was at 10 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service, at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. A light luncheon and time of remembrance followed in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, Dale would desire an offering to Mars Hill Baptist Youth programs to support training future Christian leaders.
