Losantville, IN – Stephen E. Weaver, 66, of Losantville, passed away on Sunday evening, November 6, 2016, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
He was born at Henry County Hospital, New Castle, on November 11, 1949 to Berton and Margaret (Heckathorn) Weaver of Losantville.
Steve was a 1968 graduate of Union High School, Modoc. He retired after 30 years with Dana Corp. at Hagerstown and was a mamber of UAW Local 1501. He was a former school bus driver for both Union and Blue River Valley School Corporations. Steve served on the Losantville Town Board for many years. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church, where he served as a trustee.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Carol (Burgess) Weaver; his sons, Scott Weaver of Spiceland, Rick (Tina) Dobbs of Evansville and Jody Dobbs of Florida; granddaughters Morgan Weaver and Chelsea Weaver of Spiceland, Ashley Coomes of Evansville; grandsons Logan Weaver of Spiceland, Zachary Dalton of Florence, KY and Brice Saddler of Evansville; a brother, Randy (Cindy) Weaver of Losantville and a sister, Nancy (John) Beard of Lake City, FL; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law Ruby(Ted) Lindsey, Stella Karr, Jeannette (John) Lamb and Ruth (Bill) Deady.
Services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 10, at Antioch Christian Church, Losantville. Pastor David Craw will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown, and at the church after 10:30 AM on Thursday.
