Cambridge City, IN – Mildred Ogborn Dimond, 95, of Cambridge City, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Forest Park Health Campus in Richmond, where she and her family were very appreciative of the loving care given to her by the entire staff.
She was born on January, 27, 1921 in Homer, IN to Walter and Cordella Morris Snider and had lived most of her life in Cambridge City.
She was a 1939 graduate of Lincoln High School. Mildred retired from Peoples State Bank after 43 years of service as V.P. of Loans. She was a former member of 1st Presbyterian Church and a member of 1st United Methodist Church both of Cambridge City. She was also a member of Psi Iota Xi and the Business Women’s Association of Richmond. Mildred enjoyed wintering in Florida.
Survivors include a daughter Betsy (David) Gethers; 7 grandchildren Cheri (Rob) Bills, Randy (Kathy) Michael, Cynthia (Michael) Miller, Mark (Christeen) Michael, Darin Gethers, Ryan (Lisa) Gethers and Nathan (Mary) Gethers; 9 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Earl Ogborn in 1990 and Kenneth Dimond in 1998; and daughter Carol Michael Luker in 1995.
Funeral services were on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10 AM at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City with Fr. John Luerman officiating. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City. Friends called from 2 until 4 PM on Sunday November 6, 2016.
