Abington, IN – Louella M. ‘Pee Wee’ Grimme, age 88, of Abington, died Saturday, November 5, 2016, at her home.
Born April 1, 1928, in Centerville, Indiana, to Russell and Edith Brown Morgan, Louella was a life-long resident of the Abington community. She farmed with her husband, ‘Cap’. Louella assisted her husband ‘Cap’ while he was Township Trustee for 8 years, and then she served as Township Trustee for 24 years. Louella was a member of the First Baptist Church in Richmond, Eastern Star Chapter #49, Willing Workers, Township Trustee Association, and Salvation Singers.
Survivors include her daughters, Cathy J. Grimme and Debbie K. Grimme, both of Abington, Indiana, and faithful companions, her dogs Zak and Bo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 46 years, Warren R. ‘Cap’ Grimme, who died on September 25, 1996; and brother, Robert ‘Bobby’ Morgan.
Visitation for Louella M. ‘Pee Wee’ Grimme will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016, at Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Bud Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Abington Cemetery.
